Luvlíhshtù Se

Luvlíhshtù Se (/luv/ /ˈlɪ̞ʃtʊ/ [image; appearance (looks)] [corrupt]) is a temperate Town located in the Sti̊ci̊q Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Luvlíhshtù Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Luvlíhshtù Se was founded by Keedduhl Wyn, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Luvlíhshtù Se has a yearly average temperature of 29°C (84°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 33°C (91°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 26°C (78°F). Luvlíhshtù Se receives an average of 198 cm/y (77 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Luvlíhshtù Se covers an area of nearly 4 km² (1 mi²), and an average elevation of 3728 m (12230 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Luvlíhshtù Se was founded durring the late 18th century in late summer of the year 1672, by Keedduhl Wyn. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Luvlíhshtù Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 18th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Luvlíhshtù Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Luvlíhshtù Se is buildings are built arround a single crampt split-log ties mainstreet which forms a counterclockwise spiral to give the town a over all circular shape. The town has a defencive wall made from large clay bricks. The wall is constructed to the exact specifications of millitary fortifications, but the nature of its clay brick construction leaves it vulnerable to even outdated siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Luvlíhshtù Se's brittle defences are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

The town shows nothing out of the ordinary, at first glance. Then you start to notice all the small things. Each window has seven iron nails pounded into the sill. Every door has a sprig of holly overhead. Every well is branded with purity seals and runes to ward the contents. Everyone is carrying a small charm for safety or fortune, be it a rabbit’s foot, a horseshoe, or other little totems.

Civic Infrastructure

Luvlíhshtù Se has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Luvlíhshtù Se.

Luvlíhshtù Se has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Luvlíhshtù Se has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Luvlíhshtù Se has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Luvlíhshtù Se's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Luvlíhshtù Se possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Luvlíhshtù Se has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Luvlíhshtù Se has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Luvlíhshtù Se's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is which made use of the classical orders and mathematically precise ratios of height and width combined with a desire for symmetry, proportion, and harmony. It used columns, pediments, arches and domes are imaginatively in buildings of all types. Decorative features were seen as largely unnecessary as the sheer beauty of the structure itself was often close to art. However, many buildings with large ceiling spaces had their ceilings decorated with elaborate paintings, simply because the large flat spaces could feel wasted.

In Luvlíhshtù Se most nights are accompanied by colorful ribbons of light in the sky.

The Phase Spider near Luvlíhshtù Se are known to be quite timid.

Luvlíhshtù Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves creating small tokens to channel Enchantment energies of tier 3 via moments of science.

Economy

History

Luvlíhshtù Se is in secret rebellion against their ostensible liege, having cut deals with his enemies, plotted to betray him for their own gain, or bridled under his tyranny and sought a better lord. The community’s leadership is all in on this plot, and outside viceroys or representatives are being kept carefully ignorant of the reality. The common folk may be oblivious to the truth, though they’ll doubtless have felt the same motivations and promptings that convinced their leaders to turn traitor.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century Anguish Peak, an iconic vista located neare Luvlíhshtù Se, proved to be volcanic when the peak erupted. The eruption was isolated to the area around Luvlíhshtù Se, which was swallowed in ash, lava flows, and pyroclastic gasses. Luvlíhshtù Se lost 181 people, 152 livestock, and 78 buildings in the disaster. The event is forever remembered as the Day of Anguish's Wrath.
